Decolonial Feminist Organizing and Knowledge Reclamation

Our organizing challenges dominant systems of power by reclaiming Indigenous knowledge, identity, and ways of being. We practice feminism that is rooted in land, memory, and community rather than imposed development narratives.

What can this look like in your life?

It can look like questioning whose knowledge is prioritized, learning about Indigenous histories, and honoring cultural practices in everyday spaces. It may also mean supporting organizing efforts that center land, language, and lived experience as sources of strength.

Our Approach to Making a Difference

We believe that a movement rooted in care, sisterhood, imagination, and lived experience can create lasting change. By centering the voices of Indigenous girls, we nurture spaces where courage, creativity, and collective power grow; shaping a future that is just.

Reimagining an Indigenous World

FIG Nepal is working toward a future where Indigenous voices are heard with respect, intention, and justice. We believe Indigenous girls deserve safe, supportive spaces where they can explore their identity, embrace their culture with pride, and grow into confident leaders.

Through community-centered programs and collective action, we are nurturing a generation of young Indigenous women who are empowered to shape their own futures and strengthen their communities.

We use art as a powerful medium for exploring identity, tracing lived experiences, and understanding intersectionality. Through storytelling, art, and connection, Indigenous girls are able to build confidence, find belonging, and support one another.

At FIG Nepal, we believe Indigenous girls deserve to be heard; not only in their communities, but in the public spaces where decisions about their lives are made.

We aim to create opportunities for Indigenous girls to challenge injustices and reimagine systems that have long excluded them. When we center lived experiences and ancestral knowledge of Indigenous girls, we create the space to transform public narratives around dignity, equity, and identity.

At FIG Nepal, we believe change starts from the wisdom and strength already present lived experiences of our communities.

By honoring ancestral knowledge while encouraging emerging voices, we are working to build a future that is both rooted and transformative.
