Workshop on Free Prior and Informed Consent was an initiative part of a broader project focusing on protecting the land rights of Indigenous communities in Nepal, who face forced evictions and displacement in the name of development. Our workshop aimed to educate development workers, community practitioners, and engineering and infrastructure development students on the significance of FPIC. Together, we explored how consent, accountability, and relationship-building are essential to more just and sustainable development practices.
